Curvy WifeSwap

We have all seen the show. We have all been glued to an episode of WifeSwap wondering if people really do live their lives that way (eating dirt, talking to plants, cleaning obssessed...). Here is your chance to be part of an all-eyes-glued-on-you episode of WifeSwap.



Here’s the info:



We are currently casting for our fifth season and we are looking for people who are aspiring plus size models and want to teach another family that you can be beautiful whatever size you are. We cast everywhere from Maine to California, and this would bring a fun and unique dynamic to the show.

Requirements:
  • Must be in a two-parent home;
  • Must live within the United States
  • Must have at least one child between 7-17!


The premise of Wife Swap is simple:

For seven days, two wives from two different families with very different values exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it’s like to live a different family’s life. It’s an interesting social experiment and a great way to see your family in a whole new light. It is shot as a documentary series, so NO scripts and no set. It’s just one camera that is documenting your life. Families that appear on the show will receive a financial honorarium for lost wages, time and commitment.

IT'S SWIMSUIT SEASON BABY!!!


What is better than the runway, fashion industry elite, swimsuits and Miami? Nothing! Well...perhaps if it was solely dedicated to the curvy woman that would be wwwaayyy better than anything (ever!), but it's not so it's the next best thing :) If you are in the area, or in the industry, check out the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim, Miami style. Below you can check out the heavy runway hitters. We will be taking a peek at the 2010 trends for swimwear, and (as always) putting a curvy twist to it!

ANNOUNCES PRELIMINARY LINE-UP FOR 2010 COLLECTIONS

The World's Premier Swim Event returns to The Raleigh Hotel July 15-19, 2009 Miami, FL (June 3, 2009) – The summer season is beginning to heat up with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim a few weeks away. Supermodels and celebrities will come together on the runways of Miami Beach to celebrate fashion and beauty with the sexiest swimwear designs in the world, July 15-19, 2009.

“We are proud to welcome so many new designers to our roster this year,” said SVP of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis. “In its fifth season, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has become a strong and effective platform to showcase the finest swimwear collections and their talented designers from around the world. This season’s line-up continues to bring to the market the quality and ingenuity that people now expect from this show.”

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim kicks off with an official kickoff party on the 15th, followed by four consecutive days of shows by featuring collections from Tibi, Caffé Swimwear, Marysia Swim, True Religion Swim, Red Carter, Aqua di Lara, L*Space by Monica Wise, Ed Hardy Swimwear, White Sands Australia, Poko Pano, Xtra Life Lycra®, Cia.Marítima, Luli Fama and V Del Sol.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim at Miami Beach's historic hotel The Raleigh, will present three venues, the Cabaña Grande, the Beachway and the Oasis, accessed via an event lobby on Collins Avenue at 18th Street, adjacent to the hotel’s main entrance.

Over the course of five days, 12,000 journalists, buyers and VIPs will be in South Florida to experience the most elite swimwear event in the country. Mercedes-Benz, the event’s title sponsor, is joined by American Express, DHL, LYCRA®, MAKE UP FOR EVER, The Raleigh, Conair, Bain de Soleil, Continental Airlines Inc., Peroni, Chambord, Ocean Drive Magazine, Miami.com, California Apparel News Waterwear and Getty Images.

We have (2) and we are looking for (1) more model for the cover, as well as (2) models to be an individual month in the “True Sheroes" 2011 Calendar!

True Curves


As women, we seem to have the natural ability to admire lovingly the dips and curves of one each others body. We can find the curves of women in every boutique window, every magazine cover, and every television screen. Clothes are made to show off the subtle rise and fall of the breasts, or the slight sway of the hips. Some will exploit the female form, understanding it's irresistible pull, but the majority respect the curve.


We found two women who respectfully show off the sexier side of the curve with tastefully, tantalizing pin up photography. Pin up photography can range from the classic Marilyn Monroe types of pictures you are use to seeing, to somewhat more risky photos. Landing softly in the middle is the True Curves Calendar produced by the two woman team comprised of Meiliee and Sommer Green.



In 2007 Meilee teamed up with Sommer Green of SommeLovely Productions (pictured above from left to right), and together they created "True Curves"™ Pin Up Edition 2009 calendar. The beauty of the calendar is that it showcases the curves of full figured models, actors and every day women. The calendar challenges the stereotypes by representing women in an array of sizes. "Our mission is to set examples to women around the world that “beauty” is from within and should not be judged by height, weight, size, style of dress and enhancements to feel accepted and to embrace their natural beauty".


Gemini Magazine is keeping a close eye on these ladies, and the True Curves Pin Up Edition Calendar. We will be sharing the behind the scenes stories with you, and urging you to get involved.
